In the midst of the city was the shopping capitol for teens and others alike. This mall had almost everything you could imagine in it, including kiosks of accessories and a handful of jewelry stores. And where there’s a jewelry store, there was a thief, or thieves in this case. Long shadows were cast out by the tall buildings that encircled the mall, and only a Pokemon with the sharpest of eyes to could make out the figures shifting among them. A tiny sliver of the moon was visible in the sky, shedding cold light down on the city below it.
Four Pokemon in all stepped forth from the cover of darkness. The smallest of the figures, a Marowak, look up to a tall bird-like Pokemon at his side. “You know what to do, Shadow. Keep a look-out.” He reminded it, but his words were slightly muffled by the bandana that covered his face.
The Pokemon nodded, obviously being a Skarmory by her head shape, and spread out her odd emerald-colored wings and leapt upwards. With a flap of her wings she was soaring through the air at incredibly high speeds. Eventually Shadow landed on the highest peak the mall had to offer and looked down at her comrades.
The Marowak then turned to a large, burly Nidoking on his right and nodded his head sharply. With a whirl of wind his strong, purple tail made a crushing contact with the glass of a window, effectively breaking it. A shrill alarm broke the crisp night air.
A Scyther behind him gasped and the Marrowak beside him shook his head in exasperation. “Venom, you were supposed to knock out the security alarm, not set it off!” The Marowak bellowed.
Venom shrugged his shoulders stupidly and took a step back. Only a second later the Skarmory landed at his side with an angry flutter of her wings. “What happened?” She hissed. Her reply was a claw pointed to the burly Nidoking.
The Marowak took a step forward as the other two began to argue. He opened his mouth to say something, but was surprised when he heard the Scyther had joined in. The bone wielding Pokemon grunted as listened to the background noises as the sounds of rushing cops broke the air along with the still ringing alarm. “Enough!” He yelled, fed up. “We’re wasting precious time, someone is bound to hear this and come running!” He added and took a deep breath. It was only a matter of time until someone found them.
